I dragged myself out of bed at the latest time i could afford in order not to miss the 11.30 bus. I was fatiqued after that stupid walk the previous day to Maccas. I had to watch the first match in my life which was fully sponsored by the Monash Residential Services providing tickets and the transport.
Having no knowledge of the rules of the game or how its played (besides kicking the ball and throwing it), we wanted to watch and learn the game. So we decided to pick a team and support it to make it a more enjoyable experience and it was indeed. We supported the Western Bulldogs because they were the underdogs. At the first quarter which lasted 20 minutes, they dominated the game. then the next 2 quarters they lagged behind. The players were so demoralised. Then there was a sudden turn of luck and it was a close fight till the end with the score of 105-98. Jc and i was going crazy anticipating every kick as it headed towards the middle poles. When they won, we were overjoyed and started giving high 5s to other fans of bulldogs we didnt know. We had a stress relieving time of shouting and screaming. At the end of the day we got scarves to mark our start as a footy fan. Aik wasnt too enthusiastic as you can see.
GO DOGGIES!!
